Great place to visit close by. Got its name from the wind currents that rip up the face of the mountain. Legend has it that at times, if a person were to jump from the edge, the wind would blow you back up. I'm not going to be the one to test that theory.

Another cute town to explore just outside Banner Elk! About a 25 minute drive from the property.
