A quiet town in Yorkshire known for its lively square with bars and restaurants. It's always had a reputation for being "Bohemian" with many artists and performers.
Enjoy the town with the most independent shops in the country. A previous textile town reinvented into a great town to visit at any time of year. Shopping, walking, enjoying the many restaurants and pubs.
Hebden Bridge is a unique market town, renowned for its independent shops, bars, cafes and vibrant artistic and music scene. It's full of creative people and great places to chill. Once described in a travel magazine as 'the 4th funkiest town in the world' it's not hard to see why as truly anything goes! Lots of lovely walks on the hills above Hebden Bridge or wander through the beautiful Hardcastle Crags, known locally as "Little Switzerland", take Keighley Road out of Hebden Bridge and follow the National Trust signs. Parking is sometimes as problem at weekends but you can walk from Hebden Bridge - just follow the river upstream, over the cobbled bridge and past the cricket and bowling clubs. Takes about 30 minutes to reach the lodge gates.
