Right in the middle of Newcastle is a hidden gem - Blackbutt Reserve. Stroll along one of the wonderful meandering trails, or enjoy a barbeque or picnic close to the animals. There's usually plenty of parking, however can get a little busy of a warm summer evening.

A beautiful park in Newcastle with a free mini zoo... note parking is approx. $5 hour (max $20).
