If you’re visiting Salmon Arm in the winter, this is an absolute must! The Larch Hills Nordic Society has a cross-country skiing area with over 170km of ski trails, 57km of which are frequently groomed for ease of use. Although they do not offer equipment rentals on-site, there are a few private retailers in the area that can help. Skookum Cycle and Ski are in downtown Salmon Arm, so you can pick up rentals there and drive about 20km to get to the Nordic Society. Once you’re done with your cross-country adventure, warm up in the heated chalet! A day here is $15 CAD to use the trails (excluding rentals), and there are membership options for cross country enthusiasts!
