Wonderful collection of objects documenting aspects of different religions. Some open spaces and next to the Cathedral and Necropolis.

The museum, which opened in 1993, is located in Cathedral Square, on the lands of Glasgow Cathedral off High Street. It was constructed on the site of a medieval castle-complex, the former residence of the bishops of Glasgow, parts of which can be seen inside the Cathedral and at the Peoples Palace Museum, Glasgow Green. The museum building emulates a medieval style to blend in with the nearby Provand's Lordship House

The museum explores religion from all over the world. Salvador Dali's painting Christ of Saint John of the Cross was formerly displayed here (now at the nearby Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum).

Opposite the oldest house in Glasgow, St Mungo's provides a very interesting and beautifully curated overview of the religions found in Scotland. There's also a really nice view of the necropolis from the 3rd floor. Often also have excellent arts and crafts sessions running.
