Home of the Wallace Trust Art Collection of NZ art. A beautiful building and good cafe, set in lovely grounds. The exhibitions change about once a month. Can be reached from Herd Rd.

You can see a great variety of contemporary NZ artists, and its exhibitions are always interesting and varied. Also a beautifully restored colonial homestead set in a regional park, which has orchards, gardens, wetlands and rolling park landscape with enormous heritage trees. A great place too to have brunch or lunch on its wide, sheltered verandahs, often a very sunny spot all year round.

Nice and local, interesting art exhibitions, stunning old heritage building and a nice restaurant onsite too. This is where we got engaged...before this was developed into an art gallery, when it was an old derelict building!
