This is the oldest winery in Nevada City, dating back to 1880. They made it's first modern vintage wine in 1980...the year your host was born...a little fun fact. To date, Nevada City Winery has made 600 different wines since opening. Come enjoy a few samples in their tasing room. They also offer food options during your visit such as their cheese board, breadstick basket and chip bowl.

Nevada City Winery was founded in 1980 and is located right in downtown Nevada City. The Winery was begun by Allan Haley, a Nevada County native with a European wine education and a dream of bringing winemaking back to our region. In 1880 there were over 300 acres of grapes in the County. In 1980 when the Winery opened there was one small vineyard, recently planted. Twenty years later there are again well over 300 acres of grapes and the wine industry is flourishing once more.

Fun lively wine tasting! Great winery, super friendly knowledgeable staff. They grow unique imported varietals fo grapes to create award-winning wines!
