A non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the unique history represented by the Historic Hampton House Cultural Center, an iconic segregation-era motel and lounge located in Miami-Dade County’s Brownsville neighborhood. Throughout the 1950's, 60's, and early 70's, some of the most influential entertainers, athletes, and Civil Rights leaders visited, performed, and made history at the Hampton House, including Cannonball Adderley, Sam Cooke, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Marvin Gaye, Muhammad Ali, Jackie Robinson, Althea Gibson, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and many more. Today, the newly restored building provides a forum for educational, cultural, and historic activities for residents and visitors to the Greater Miami area. A treasured, unique, and unparalleled piece of modern history, the Historic Hampton House is a must see!
