Ride Austin is the local, non-profit ride share program. You can easily download their app on your cell phone. If you prefer, Austin has Lyft and other ride share programs as well.

The RideAustin structure is innovative with a community-driven non-profit ridesharing company. Cost is comparable to Fasten or Fare, and you can “round up” your fare, sending the remainder to local non-profits. They donate a percentage of premium rides to NPOs and make their data public so that other rideshare hopefuls can leverage it.

Ride Austin is the town’s best rideshare app, and it’s a co-op. With apps available to both iPhone and Android, it’s a must-download if you need a ride around town. There’s even an option to round your fare to the nearest dollar to donate the change to local charities.
