Porthtowan beach is a great spot, there is a park too, fab ice cream at Moomaid and also good food at the Blue Bar. Also a fab place for a sunset with a beer on the beach.

Situated on the shore a 2 minute walk away is the popular Blue Bar, a relaxed beach side café/pub serving reasonably priced food, where you can grab a drink, and watch the sun go down. Great burgers, nachos and famous cheesy chips!

The Blue Bar is right on the beach, so the ideal place to watch the sun go down with a cold beer. Their menu is varied, with specials each week and they serve breakfast from 10am. Its gets very busy, but you can't book ahead so going early is a good idea.
