A warm welcome is guaranteed here, although there is "average banter" (their joke). Delicious coffees, daily special soups and stews. There are only a few seats, so it might be worth waiting outside till you spot someone leaving if it's busy. Or get food to take-away, you're only 10 minutes walk from Craigwell Cottage.

A great place to grab a freshly made sandwich when over in Old Town. Some of the best sandwiches in Edinburgh, good coffee and the rest of the shops in the New Waverley Arches are worth a wander around too.
