The Garden Room

Cozy cabin set amongst coastal forest, nestled amongst the trees overlooking the beautiful garden and Wainui beach. Wake to the rising sun and songs of the birds. It is ONE LARGE ROOM with separate bathroom and a small kitchenette and wrap around deck area. Super king bed can be used as x2 singles. Pull out king single couch bed plus roller bed for a 4th person. Please let me know at time of booking as to bed configuration. NB there are steps down to the accomodation, so heavy bags are not ideal

The Rabbiter's Hut

On a scenic drive an hour and twenty inland from Gisborne or Wairoa, on State Highway 2 you will arrive at The Rabbiter's Hut which is a peaceful and private fully self contained cottage situated on an idyllic hill country station of the East Coast. The station boundaries the Hangaroa river which offers wonderful swimming holes, water activities and walks. The owner is a professional fly fishing guide who can guide you on the world famous Ruakituri river with prior bookings. Idea getaway.

Wheatstone Studio

Our modern, architecturally designed detached studio is the perfect accommodation for couples or individuals looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Situated on a hectare block with a relaxing rural outlook our house is walking distance (1500m) to Wainui Beach and a short (5 min) drive to Gisborne city. The perfect location! Our studio mixes a luxurious but informal bach aesthetic it’s the ideal place to unwind, relax and enjoy Gisborne. BBQ and surfboard available on request.

Magnolia Cottage

Enjoy the quiet area. Listen to all the native birds, swim in the pool, take a walk in our lovely area, or simply relax in the spacious cottage with a drink. Inside, go up the spiral stairs to the cozy mezzanine bedroom (please note that it's low up there). The unique stairs are from the old star observatory on Titirangi (the local maunga/mountain)! The sofa bed in the lounge can sleep 2. There is no kitchen, but there is a kitchenette with microwave, toaster and kettle.

Pōhatu Studio, A retreat by the River

Pōhatu, meaning stone in Maori, is a beautiful 1925 Arts & Crafts house built by one of regions wealthiest landowners. Lovingly restored in 2020, the guest room is self contained and absorbs the morning sun. Pohatu is located beside the Waimata River, on a 3000m2 section surrounded by mature trees and gardens which afford privacy for sitting outside with your favourite beverage. The property is a short walk to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants.

Relaxing benefits of country living with only 5 minutes to town. Spacious grounds and parking. Fully renovated inside. Polished wooden floors throughout. Insulated providing warm cosy feel. Enjoy rain water with ozone filter. The outside is all prepped for new paint. Currently with rustic appearance. The toilet is not in the bathroom in the house it is off the Laundry as per photo. It is a 3 metre walk under a covered verandah.

Sanctuary Lodge - Cabin 1

Get away from it all and re-energise yourselves. Mahia offers safe swimming, fishing and walks. The cabin is located in private bush setting, overlooking Mahia Peninsula and two bays. Cabin 1 can sleep a couple in a queen bed and one child under 7. It has recently been renovated, we are aiming for a comfortable, relaxing, and cosy feeling. We do offer reduced rates for more than one night's stay, please ask for prices.

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. One bedroom separate guesthouse. Situated on the outskirts of Gisborne (5 min drive to the centre of town). Private, quiet, modern and relaxing. Nespresso coffee and breakfast (muesli, weetbix, vogels and spreads) provided.

Newly decorated cosy, comfortable cottage, with lovely outdoor space, including an outdoor soaking bath. Walking distance to CBD . Five minutes from beach. Three roomy bedrooms, modern open plan living area, big screen tv and wifi, fully functioning kitchen.

The Cottage

We offer guests a quiet getaway. The Cottage is on Waihua Station, a working sheep and beef farm on the coast of Hawkes Bay. Guests can stroll to the beach, walk the hills or kayak on the river . The Cottage sleeps four people and is fully self- contained.
