The village pub is a few steps away and the market town of Sturminster Newton with its mill, shops, cafes, bars and takeaways is less than 2 miles away.

Drive to the Jurassic coast (40 mins) to explore Lulworth Cove or visit the gorgeous beach at Studland or Weymouth

Located on a no-through road with only local residents traffic, giving a peaceful setting with views of the surrounding hills. Shaftesbury just over a mile with its historic Gold Hill and a good choice of shops and places to eat. It is a good base for exploring the area, offering historic houses, interesting gardens, walks, the Jurassic Coast, Stonehenge, Salisbury and Bath and much more.

Beautifully renovated spacious 2 bedroom barn conversion on a traditional Dorset farm yard. Situated in the heart of the Blackmore Vale the Flower Barn is half way between Sherborne and Shaftesbury. Bruton, Hauser and Wirth and The Newt in Somerset are all less than half an hour's drive. Ideal for short breaks, wedding guests, school half terms and holidays and conveniently only 20 mins from the A303. Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral and the Jurassic Coast are only an hour's drive.

The Pavilion is a modern, purpose built holiday house in the quiet Somerset village of Yarlington. It has all the conveniences: Wood burning stove, underfloor heating, Washer & tumble dryer, Iron & ironing board, fast fibre optic broadband and a charging station for an electric or plug in hybrid car, but sadly the mobile phone signal is very poor. The house is next to the pub and a stones throw from the church. The Newt and Hauser Wirth Gallery in Bruton are within a 15 minute drive.

The Willows- 2 Bedroom Ground Floor Cottage

The Willows is a two bedroom ground floor cottage in the village of Child Okeford which nestles under the iron age hill fort of Hambledon Hill. In the heart of the Dorset Countryside there are two pubs, a farm shop and café, a post office and a village shop. Child Okeford is surrounded by beautiful countryside where you will find many delightful walks. Further afield you can head to the Jurassic Coast and beautiful beaches of Poole, Bournemouth and Weymouth.

Delightful one bed accommodation near Sherborne

Little Dyke Head is the guest annexe to Dyke Head, built in approx. 1880 and originally part of the Leweston Manor Estate. The accommodation is newly remodelled and provides all facilities for short or extended stays in lovely rural Dorset. The grounds to Dyke Head are surrounded by woodland and apple orchards and there are many walks from the house. We are an hour by car to the Jurassic Coast.

The Boat House, Shaftesbury

A beautiful 2 bedroom wooden cabin set on a working farm, a short walk from the picturesque village of Shaftesbury, Dorsett. The Boat House is set in acres of rolling Dorset countryside looking out onto one of the number of lakes on the farm. The Boat house is dog friendly and sleeps up to 4 adults and 2 children. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay.
