Warm and cosy in winter (heatpump), shade in summer with large flat section of lawn, garden and trees. Very close to river within walking distance across the bridge to Turangi shops. Black Box Cottage

Beautiful open style cottage to yourselves with great deck and views of the mountains . All bedrooms are off the main living area which encourages plenty of family time. 20 meter walk to shuttle pick up in National Park. The famous Tongariro Crossing, Ring of Fire (March 2020), 42 Traverse are some of the regions major events. National Park has access to awesome mountain bike tracks and some of the most beautiful scenic walking treks in New Zealand. Cafes and pubs all within 5mins walk.

Dreamy sunsets over Lake Taupo & Ruapehu

Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).

This new home is the ideal place to relax after a day skiing, hiking or biking. There are 2 living areas that share a double sided gas fire. Perfect for apres ski or a romantic evening in. The Mangawhero River and cycle way are a 1 minute walk.
