We rented Amanda's place for 2 nights in the winter and it surpassed our expectations! Amanda was a great communicator. The older cottage has been extensively renovated, it was clean, comfortable and cozy. We loved the wood stove and the heating system worked well. The kitchen is first-rate, and very well-equipped, it even had decent knives! We cook a lot and we very much enjoyed making meals there. We loved watching the ever-changing weather on the river from the picture window in the living room, and even saw a beautiful sunrise. The star of our stay was the sauna—we have a wood-burning sauna at home and at our cottage—and we were very impressed with its size, the modern design, the huge picture window and the style of stove. It got up to temperature even in -17 degree weather. We hiked and snowshoed in the Alexander Hope Smith Nature Reserve which was a walk from the cottage. The town of Washago was a 11 minute drive, with a great grocery store. Would definitely stay there again!

Everything was excellent except the fact that we chose the worst weather. It is a perfect getaway where you can relax in the nature. Very caring and professional host. Cozy and clean cottage. Wish we could've stayed longer.

The cottage is just off the main road making it extremely convenient. There was more than enough space for our party of ten. We really loved the two living spaces, upstairs and downstairs. And the outside area was beautiful. We had a wonderful time. We would definitely recommend Herbs place to friends!

Michelle was one of the best hosts I’ve ever come across. She was super responsive, helpful and went out of her way to answer our questions and made us feel at home. The place seems newly renovated, very clean, well decorated, and had everything we needed. It has a full kitchen with all cooking necessities. Great stay and will come back in the summer for lake activities!

Dylan’s place was better than anticipated. Large, well-laid out, clean, beautiful views and well-stocked. I think most impressive was Dylan himself who was extremely responsive and friendly. He is a SuperHost. I would absolutely come back,

Absolutely stunning home on the water! Beautifully decorated and very well set up to host people. We had a wonderful time and the host was so quick to reply when we had any questions. We are looking forward to booking again in the future. The home is spotless. The beds are comfy, the hot tub was hot, the kitchen and appliances were unbelievably well thought out. The information given was so helpful in figuring out how to use everything. 10/10 experience and weekend. Thank you!!

The lakeside view was breathtaking, and we loved having access to kayaking—such a peaceful way to start the mornings. The place was spotless, and the host clearly put a lot of thought into making guests feel comfortable. Little touches like the coffee and tea machine, a well-equipped kitchen, and even a baby gate for safety made our stay so convenient. The living area was cozy, and we enjoyed using the BBQ grill for some outdoor meals. Honestly, we couldn’t think of anything missing—it had everything we needed! The place is exactly how it was advertised. Everything in the property was well thought of in terms of what people might need in their stay. Olga’s home was beyond my expectations! The place looks exactly like the pictures, everything is spotless and very clean! There is a great attention to detail to making the home feel cozy! Olga was also very helpful throughout the trip and very responsive. It’s located very close to the restaurants and the underground garage parking was great! Overall 5/5, would highly recommend to others and will be coming back in the summer!

This space is everything you need to wind down and relax! The location is amazing, the house is lovely and exactly as described, and the hosts are super responsive if you have any issues, which we didn’t. We loved using the different water sport equipment to have fun on the lake and the hot tub was amazing! We will definitely be coming back

My group and I had an excellent stay at the cottage. The lake is beautiful and the property is as well; inside and out. The location is quiet, yet not too secluded, making the overall experience very peaceful. The home was also very clean, functional, and had even more amenities than we were even expecting! A most delightful stay! We rented Wendy and Jeff’s place for a week. The place looked exactly like the photos--beautifully decorated, modern yet cozy and impeccably clean. The cottage is located at the end of a peninsula, with spectacular views in every direction. It was private and peaceful. Thoughtful little details throughout the cottage make this place stand out. We especially love the helpful notecards with instructions on how to operate the coffee machine and other amenities. The kitchen and bathrooms were also well-stocked. All these things add up to a very comfortable and wonderful experience. We highly recommend !

Carol’s place was exactly as described—serene, simple, and beautifully designed. It had everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing getaway. The photos don’t do it justice! The space was clean, with fresh linens and thoughtful touches throughout. It was easy to find, tucked in a quiet spot close to walking trails and a short drive to Midland. My boyfriend and I loved taking an evening stroll and catching a stunning sunset by the water. Carol was great with communication—very responsive before check-in and after we left. We didn’t need to reach out during our stay since everything ran smoothly. The Wi-Fi worked great, we enjoyed Netflix, played games, and really settled in. The couch and bed were comfy, though we spent most of our time outside! We especially loved the bird-watching window, the backyard firepit, and the cozy, peaceful feel of the whole place. If you’re looking for a quiet escape from the city, Carol’s place is totally worth it! We hope to stay here again!

Tatiana and Tymur were wondering hosts. They really care for their guests and for their beautiful cottage. The large windows in the cottage really showcased the beauty of the outdoor space. There are many rooms with comfortable beds and three washrooms - all well equipped- which was great as we were traveling in a larger group. The kitchen had everything you needed. We loved the large family living room, they even had extra games for us to play. Everything was kept tidy and clean. We all felt comfortable and at home. The family was already asking to come back in the summer! Thank you again ☺️

The place was absolutely beautiful. Michelle gave very detailed instructions which helped. The hot tub and sauna was a bonus. Michelle responded to any questions very quickly and was very friendly. Gravenhurst is a cute little town, it has everything you need. I would love to stay again!

What a great location for a cottage! The included boats (canoes & kayaks) are really nice. We went in late October (end of the season) and the neighborhood was nearly deserted. We were often the only people out on the lake. It takes about 20-25 minutes to paddle over to one of the several waterfront restaurants in Port Severn. Trevor's communications were very precise and easy to follow. Only negative comment concerns the well water. It's not just high in minerals, it is so high in minerals that it smells terrible and you really don't want to shower in it.
