Cosy Idyllic Cabin in South Devon

The luxury bits: French linen bedding, robes, soft towels & toiletries, woodburner, a good book, no street lights..You might just sleep better than you have in years. The rustic bits: There's hot water & a large sink in the bathroom- & kitchen- & a hot outdoor shower at the back of the cabin running off gas & hose, which according to the reviews, is rather a favourite! In the winter the cabin is heated by the woodburner, or a portable gas fire.

Hares Lodge is situated at the bottom of our farm road, giving uninterrupted views down the Tamar Valley and the river Tamar and on to Plymouth Sound. We are near the historic town of Tavistock, national trust house Cotehele, and of course Dartmoor National park which can be seen from the Lodge. We are five minutes away, by car, from the village train station which takes you into the historic maritime town of Plymouth. The Eden project is 1.5 hours away, and the beaches 30 minutes away.

This lovely self contained wooden chalet (The Roadhouse) is set in a quiet rural location near Bovey Tracey with stunning views over the fields to Dartmoor. There are some excellent pubs nearby, Exeter is only 20 minutes, 10 miles to the coast and close to Dartmoor, Ashburton and Newton Abbot. The heating is a woodburner. Very cosy.
