Annexe Garden Cottage is located in East Road, West Mersea, next door but one to The Fox Inn & Vixen Restaurant. Stroll to the beach via Cross Lane. The Annexe has off street parking, it's own private entrance & outside pebbled area with garden table & chairs for two. The Annexe offers a great holiday base giving you access to both East and West Mersea. The Annexe accomendation provides kitchen, living & bedroom area & showeroom/WC. Bedding & towels are hotel quality giving you a relaxing stay.

Mersea cottage - in a perfect location

The house has been owned by the same family for the last 40 years, it has been modernised over the years making it feel like a home from home. We feel that The Lane is arguably the best and most characterful location on the island. If you are a seafood enthusiast you couldn’t be better situated as The Company Shed is a 5 minute walk away. It’s walking distance to the beach and sea wall. The village 15 minute walk away with restaurants, cafes & shops. Bikes are a good way to get around the island

Beautiful Period Fisherman's Cottage

Anchor cottage, an Historic Home and now with EV charger, is a delightful period, cottage situated in the heart of The Anchorage, once known as Mersea City on Mersea Island. It has three bedrooms, a large double, a twin room and a downstairs single bedroom. The bathroom is on the ground floor and large sitting/dining room with a gas heater and provides plenty of space for five people indoors and there is a private, wrap around garden with BBQ area that enjoys the sun at most times of the day.

Convenient location to shops, pubs and country walks and beach all within fifteen minute walk.

The Loft, West Mersea

Sitting in the heart of the Anchorage area with open plan living with a lounge, kitchen, 1 double bedroom, bathroom with shower over the bath & WC, off street parking for 1 car & short walk to the Waterfront, Beach, local pubs & restaurants. 2 well behaved Pets allowed. We live on an island, sometimes the tide will cover the Strood (only Road onto the island). Please check tide times as you will be stuck waiting. It is best to arrive 1hr either side of the high tide of the day if over 5.0.

Relax in this "Hamptons" style loft apartment just a few minutes walk from the anchorage with its fish restaurants, cafes and pubs…it’s also the best place to see the amazing sunsets across the water! The apartment is self-contained having its own staircase from the ground floor and on-site parking. Open plan living, balcony, fully equipped kitchen, contemporary bathroom with massive walk-in shower, double bedroom and boot/laundry room. All designed with you in mind!

Cottage on the beach

With its own beachside garden and breathtaking uninterrupted views of the wildest of Essex creeks and marshes, the cottage is only to be reached on foot atop a sea wall. The perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The last in a row of westerly facing cottages, perfect to watch the evening sun go down . From the front garden or even laying in bed, watch the tide slip in and out, the fishing boats come and go and live, for a while, in a world moving at a slower pace.

Woodbine Cottage

Whether you’re get up and go types or would rather relax than rush, you’ll find Mersea has something to suit everyone’s taste and pace. Just take a short stroll from the cottage and you’ll discover a delightful esplanade and beach, two rather nice pubs, cafe’s, a yacht club and the famous seafood eateries. You’ll hear the bells ringing out from the sailing boats and see kids enthusiastically crabbing from the jetty. We fell head over heels in love with Mersea and hope you will too.

Self Contained Studio in Wivenhoe

Tuck away next to the Wivenhoe woods (upper Wivenhoe), this lovely self-contained studio flat provides comfortable accommodation throughout. The studio is on a cul-de-sac, with its own entrance. It is just a short walk to the University of Essex via Wivenhoe Public pathway. The the train station is also only 15 minute walk away through the Wivenhoe trail. Ideal for 1-2 guests, but a baby or small chid is welcome (providing that you bring your own travel cot & bedding with you).

The Moorings: 3 bed house in historic Lane.

Located in the historic and picturesque Anchorage area of beautiful Mersea Island the house is in a quiet and tranquil lane, with the sea a moments distance away. 50 Yards at the end of the lane turn left for pubs and restaurants and turn right to find the sea wall, with opportunities for bird watching and scenic dog walks. The property sleeps 5/6 people and has an enclosed garden with seating and bbq, there is also a large lockable shed for any outdoor equipment.

The Retreat

The Retreat offers a luxury, self-contained cabin, for two guests in the heart of West Mersea. This idyllic spot is situated with private access just a stones throw from the beach. The Retreat offers a king-size bed in a beautiful cabin, with shower room, TV, fresh towels & linen, bathroom essentials as well as tea & coffee. Walking out of the cabin, within two minutes you will be on the coast road leading either to the village centre or towards the harbour.

Riverside gem with a nautical past

In the heart of lower Wivenhoe on the quay, our little self-contained cottage was once part of the home of The Colne Marine and Yacht Company. Its thick brick walls and quiet and pretty disposition, defy its former role as a working yard where timber yachts were crafted and repaired, drawn up inside at high tide. Emma and Charlie welcome guests back time after time to relax and enjoy this very special place. We hope you will join them.
