A family-friendly studio located next to the river in one of Swellendam's residential neighbourhoods. The studio boasts magnificent views of the garden and an enormous rubber tree, creating a tranquil experience. You’ll have high-speed wifi and solar power, perfect for remote working. Want a not-so-in-town feel? Then this is the place for you. The studio is located a mere 5 min walk to the nearest supermarket/midtown and a 13 min walk to old town with quaint restaurants, shops and cafés.

Escape to this serene beachfront holiday home on a dune with stunning sea and bay views. It features three queen bedrooms, quality linen, an ensuite, a shared bathroom, and a study with a sleeper couch. The open-plan living area includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining for six, a cozy lounge with a smart TV, WiFi, and an inverter for uninterrupted power. Outside, enjoy a sunny courtyard with a built-in braai, seating, a sun lounger, and an outdoor shower. The beach is just 200m away.

A cosy self-catering apartment with an unspoilt view of the river mouth, ocean and adjacent nature reserve. Sit back and relax with a book or keep an eye on the tide, whether you'd like to go fishing, kite surfing or just to enjoy the great out-doors. The adjacent nature reserve provides numerous foot-path routes through the indigenous Fynbos. From the balcony you may have some early morning sightings of small antelope and other animals as well as an abundance of bird life.

Situated on the water's edge of the Breede River Lodge harbor, Suite 105 is front row to the hub of activity during the summer months. Fishermen, kiteboarders, and outdoor enthusiasts visit this area for a varity of activities. In the winter, this is a peaceful retreat ideal for whale watching, walking, and enjoying the surrounding natural beauty. Spasie on Breede restaurant and bar is a short walk from the Suite and offers an excellent menu and stunning sunset river views.

Double room with ocean view

A double room with en-suite shower room. There is a wardrobe a tv and WiFi. The bedroom leads on to a lovely enclosed area where there is a dining table and comfortable patio furniture, here you can sit with the doors open or closed and enjoy the wonderful view. There is a fridge and microwave with tea and coffee making facilities. Through these doors there is a large patio area with a bbq and utensils. The views from this room are amazing

Marshall Farm on the river

Marshall Farm is a traditional thatch family-friendly farmhouse in Vermaaklikheid. The farmhouse is 30 yards from the river, and has an enchanting beautiful wind free outdoor lounge area on a jetty connecting you to the river. The Duiwenshok River is one of the Overberg’s best kept secrets, approximately 3,5 hours from the bustle of Cape Town, this delightful hideaway is seemingly untouched by the hand of time.

When we first opened our spot we were truly over the hills and far away... now the village has grown around us a bit, but the place can still feel pretty secluded. The architect-designed house mixes inside/outside space with plenty of room for family.. Explore wetland, river and the Langeberg mountains. With plenty of comforts this spot is paradise for children, dogs and a retreat for adults.

Reclusive cottage Suurbraak

Just outside of Swellendam, peacefully nestled at the foothills of the lush and beautiful Langeberg Mountains, lies the picturesque little town of Suurbraak. On the other side of the river, is the quaint self-catering cottage of Bibi and Peter.
