The pictures don’t show how gorgeous this place is! Amy was incredibly helpful and responsive. The view from the back garden area is beautiful, the cottage is spacious, quirky and stylish decor. The hot tub is wonderful; really hot and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the stars.

We couldn't have wished for a nicer stay in the New Forest! The cottage is equipped everything you need, is located in beautiful surroundings with ample cycling routes nearby, and has a hot tub as an added bonus. Cindy and Lina are super accommodating and attentive hosts. We will most definitely be returning!

A beautiful cottage, bath with a view and lovely hot tub in private garden. Provides everything you need for a relaxing weekend away. Beautiful location, so peaceful. The barn with pool table and gym was a great addition. Responsive host too, a really lovely welcome when we arrived.

Great place , did exactly what it said on the tin

The hosts were helpful from the moment we booked our stay. We were given clear instructions on where to arrive and were greeted as soon as we pulled into the carpark. They explained all the necessary information and answered all of our questions and were very helpful. They were always available if we had any queries and gave plenty of local recommendations for food and activities. We would 100% recommend and would be more than happy to book again.

The Stables Cottage is set in a quiet and peaceful location, perfect for exploring the surrounding area. During our stay, we visited the New Forest, Salisbury (using the conveniently located Park and Ride), Bournemouth, and the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard—all easily accessible by road.

Very lovely hosts and the place in general is lovely for little families. The property has a very safe enclosed garden which is perfect if you've got little ones. The property is on the grounds of their own property which is something to be mindful of if you're expecting complete privacy. My only negative is that the basic necessities like tea/coffee/sugar are not provided to give you that little head start if you've travelled a long journey. That being said, the place is a beautiful little getaway x

A perfect find for a relaxing weekend with friends. This place was spotless, peaceful, spacious, filled with everything you could possibly need, and in a perfect location. We really appreciated the instructions written throughout the house, it meant there was no room for confusion and we didn't have a reason to message the host all weekend as they'd covered everything. We will absolutely be coming back.

Laverstock was stunning. It felt safe for my daughter to run around, the grounds were brilliant and lovely to see the farm animals. The cottage was great for us and perfect for a weekend away! We loved it!

The exact location isn't too clear when you book - but this place is actually like a small countryside heaven. It feels very peaceful and isolated, although you're within a few minutes drive from amenities (a few supermarkets) and the town centre. Sally was very helpful as soon as arrived, and super responsive all along. The cottage itself was small but perfectly fine for a family with 2 kids (the bedroom, upstairs, is really large though). All the essential was there, and in good working order. And it was great chilling on the lawn by the river, watching the sheep on the other side and the blossoming apple trees in Sally's garden, once the kids were in bed. I wish our stay had been longer to enjoy it further!

We had such a wonderful stay, so much so we didn’t want to leave. Hilary was such a welcoming host and the cottage was so beautiful. Our whole family loved the cottage and we definitely want to come back. There’s so much to do in the area too. There’s lots of toys at the cottage for kids, including bath toys and a really cute outdoor kids dining table. Once the kids were in bed it was also so lovely and cosy for the adults. The pianos were also a great touch, we loved playing them and teaching the kids how to play. We would recommend the stay to everyone.

Julie's place was a fantastic place to stay during our time in Portland. The place was spotless, smelt nice and had all the amenities and items you might need for your stay. Locally, the walks are absolutely breathtaking! Some of the best views I have seen anywhere! There are a few food shops and takeaways locally, all fairly priced and good food. We will definitely return!

Firstly thank you Paul & Sarah for your directions. If you put the cottage post code in to your sat nav it will have you carrying out a U turn on the A31 so please note the directions given. The cottage is in a lovely location and was cosy, well furnished, well equipped and clean. The garden was lovely and great for our dogs but small dogs can squeeze through gaps in the fence (Paul is aware and is planning to block off any escape routes). There were fresh tulips and shortbread to greet us, which was a lovely touch, as well as lovely toiletries. Paul & Sarah were responsive to any queries or needs we had. There are lovely walks through the forest right on your doorstep. There is an outdoor hose for washing muddy footwear and paws. There are outside lights but the torch inside the cottage came in handy. We would happily recommend the cottage for a relaxing break.

Rowan Barn's open plan design worked very well as a welcoming space for three adults. It is set in beautiful countryside and in an excellent location for exploring this part of the Dorset coast. The cottage had everything we needed, including good access and easy parking. We have stayed in several different cottages in the area. This is the one we hope to return to. Thank you, Debra.

We had such a wonderful time staying at this cottage. The location is just perfect, peaceful and beautiful. The cottage is easy to find. Everything was tidy and clean as well as well equipped and beautifully decorated. You are surrounded by fields, a stream to listen to and little rabbits hopping in the field next door! Lots of fields and paths to take your dog for a walk. Enclosed garden and property so dog and child safe. Lovely to arrive to a welcome pack for the dog as well as us- chocolate, biscuits and eggs from their chickens! Lots to do and nice places to eat nearby- there is a folder with all info needed in the cottage. Perfect getaway for a family with a dog! We were lucky enough to meet the host’s dog Rocky! A really great house for our New Forest visit. Managed a couple of very enjoyable gravel bike rides along the coast and through the forest. This is a great base for exploring the forest.

I would highly recommend staying at Sandra's beautiful cottage. It is so well equipped, comfortable and cosy - a real home from home - and idea for long and short stays. Everything was immaculate and the bed and sofas were so comfy. And Cookie loved the dog bed and bowls that were provided. Sandra has provided lots of ideas for trips and places to eat locally. We will definitely return!

Little Glebe was so perfect for my friends and I - two couples - as a place to stay in Dorset. The cottage itself was amazing: bright, airy, beautiful design, great views, functional kitchen, and two comfortable bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom. The location was also really ideal - about a 17 minute walk to the local farm grocery store where bought all of our food to cook, and 10 minute drive to Durdle door and other great coastal walks. Sue was a wonderful host, and very warm and lovely. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Amazing cottage, beautiful location. Everything spotlessly clean, fresh eggs from the resident chickens and a lovely bottle of wine. We had an a fantastic time. Wish we were still there.

Lovely house and quiet road, no parking problems despite having two cars. Easy walk to quay and supermarket. Didnt know Barbers Piles existed (even thought I grew up In the area) so was surprised to find it at the Bridge end of the quay not Baiter end where we hoped to ride bikes from. A beautiful hideaway right on the edge of the forest but close to local amenities. Everything about the cottage was just right. Plenty of space, a playroom for the baby, a lovely garden and space for the dog to run around and enjoy herself. Our group ranged in age from 86 to 16 months and we all had a great time!

We had a really lovely stay at the cottage. Joanne was a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well-equipped. The setting is great and we really loved having the tea shop across the road! Joanne also kindly let our children use the play area of the campsite. Lots of great things to do nearby. Would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our time in Sway and would recommend this as a great apartment and location to stay in. Communication before, during and after our stay was great, with the hosts answering any questions that we had. The accommodation was spotless throughout and was really well furnished. We would highly recommend for anyone looking to visit the area.
