Cliff's Cabin - authentic Montana retreat

Tucked into the woods at the end of the road just 13 minutes from the heart of town, this cabin is a treasure. Cliff built the place himself; each tree sawn on his tractor-powered sawmill. We added family antiques, new mattresses and original art (lotsa comfort and love). The covered porch is high in the trees with breathtaking views 1000 feet above the Yellowstone River. The cottage is attached to the new Ranch House (which is expected to be complete by end of June) Cottage remains totally private. No Shared spaces - only the views. Construction halts during guest stays. Relax in front of the inside fireplace or enjoy the crackling sound and smell of a wood burning fireplace in the outdoor pavilion .

This peaceful and centrally-located cabin is built with repurposed materials from million dollar homes in Jackson WY and old homesteads in surrounding farmland ID. An eclectic and cozy place to lay your head, enjoy forest views, and explore the forest on your way to the creek. Look out for the local deer herd, our red tailed hawk's nest, and listen for our resident great horned owl. Easy access to Targhee, Jackson, GTNP, YNP and more. Private, nearest neighbor is the main house 100ft away.
