My family and I came down for Easter weekend to visit family. We LOVED the property and can't wait to return when it's warm. The location is top notch. Beautiful creek to kayak, dock to fish or crab from and a spacious backyard and fire pit. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I enjoyed our second relaxing weekend away at the cottage on the creek. We were really able to relax regardless of the weather. Rain or shine, the location is stunningly beautiful and peaceful. I found the cottage to be at a higher standard of cleanliness than our last visit, too. Much appreciated! We plan to return!

This property is magical. Everything I have imagined and more since I discovered it more than 10 years ago. So thankful I finally got to experience it.

We can’t say enough about the warm and hospitality of our hosts! Not a single detail was overlooked. The area was private, but what was overwhelming to us was the abundance of natural beauty everywhere! We had a lake on one side of the driveway and the creek on the other! The cottage was indeed very romantic, and we cannot wait to come back. We love that they had kayaks and we had a great time paddling the creek. There were some great restaurants in nearby towns, but if you didn’t want to go that far, a grocery store and Walmart were a few miles away.

I truly wish I could put into words just how beautiful and peaceful this home and property were. It is truly a place that was so inviting and well maintained it made me miss the eastern shore of Virginia and start looking at properties in the area. The land is so cool to walk and explore and the bay at this home is just serene. To be able to wake up and see the view this home has is just spectacular. Matt is spot on with the description of his home and you truly can't find one thing wrong with this home or the property surrounding it and having a dog,it is so key with the wash station outside because our lab puppy could not get enough of the bay or going out in the kayaks with us. I truly wish they had more stars to rate this home. Thank you for being so gracious and allowing us to visit your spectacular home!

We like to travel and take extended weekends. usually planned months in advance. We needed a getaway and spontaneously picked April's. It was a last minute booking and we were accommodated without issue. this getaway was exactly what we needed. A quiet neighborhood, friendly neighbors. Just enough to do for a quiet relaxing getaway! We 100% we suggest April's in Chincoteague! Thank you for everything!

I can sum it up by saying that we are already looking forward to our next visit. The kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, and the farm itself was very well maintained. The grandchildren loved being able to feed the animals, and of course gave them all names and we all enjoyed walking around and exploring.

Great spot for a mother/daughters retreat. We enjoyed the cozy and cute decor and each having our own space in the Seaside Cottage. Also, the kitchen was will equipped and we made several meals together as a family. Just a short drive to everything on the island and super close to water and the Misty Pasture. Kathleen was a wonderful host— responsive and proactive throughout our stay. We had a wonderful visit!
