The perfect getaway. Stunning, peaceful property. Being welcomed by the sounds of the Guinea fowls and the rushing river made me so happy and calm. The accommodation itself was perfectly clean, homely, comfortable with absolutely everything we needed. The little touches like the lux bedding, the fresh milk and the torch by the door were great extras. And I really appreciated the close parking and the table and chairs sat by the river. Can't wait to return. Highly reccomend the host Madonna at The Granary. Thank you for a lovely stay ❤️

A great getaway with loads to do close by for whatever mood you're in - great towns and cities like Calendar and Stirling less than half an hour away, equally beautiful countryside and multiple waterfalls, lochs and walks to choose from on the doorstep. Our toddler loved the on site swimming pool and the grown ups enjoyed the peaceful views from the hot tub too! Rosie was so friendly and accommodating.

We had a great few days on Bute with the extended family. The house is in an excellent location , a short walk down to the best beach on Bute, very peaceful and superb views across to Arran. Just a short drive from the ferry terminal in Rothesay, and also to the Kingarth Hotel (can recommend for lunch or evening meal).

I had a really lovely couple of nights staying in the Granary. Aly was very welcoming and the cottage was really comfortable with lots of nice touches. There are stunning views to the hills and coast, and a garden too. Overall, a very peaceful, wild spot and a chance to stay on a working farm too! Would highly recommend!

Penny's proved to be an excellent host from the moment we booked until the day we left the property. If a fancy-pants cottage you're after, this is not the place for you although it has everything you need, all the utilities and a good view from the garden. It has a very good and practical feel about it. Our dog felt at home as well, considering that it takes a while for him to settle in a new place. It's also close to Lamlash for shopping and restaurants. All in all it was a very good experience and we'll go back again for sure.

Very kind and welcoming hosts. It’s a lovely peaceful experience to stay on their working farm. The sunset from the kitchen looking out at the horse and sheep in the field was beautiful. The stars at night are so clear too and the chickens outside in the morning was very cute my children loved seeing the animals each morning. Short 20 min drive for most shops and kids activities/farm parks but great amenities in kitchen for cooking there too.

My family can’t get enough of Bee and Farm Broom Cottages! We kept going on and on about how perfect this cottage was. We loved being right by the sheep and lambs. They were so fun to watch from the window. Stirling is the perfect spot to get out of Edinburgh and Glasgow, but still have plenty to do. When we had trouble with the washer, Bee’s mom came to our place to help us figure it out. We would DEFINITELY stay here again if we come back to Scotland.

What can I say, the best Airbnb we have stayed at to date! This place is perfect, you are in the middle of fields, with lambs everywhere, your own private loch that has kayaks available to use (great fun!), a secure garden to let the dogs roam freely. The house itself is bigger than the images seem, we had plenty of space for four adults, a toddler and three dogs. They provided a cot and high chair which is a great help. There’s a huge boot room which is great to throw off your coat and walking boots, and give the dogs a towel dry after a walk. Beds were perfectly comfortable, a cosy log fire, plenty of hot water in the showers, what more could you ask for! The house felt more like a home than a rental and we are already planning our next trip. The hosts were friendly and available for any questions you may have. My daughter didn’t want to come inside, she was obsessed with the sheep and being in the garden! only issue was signal for the firestick/ phones was poor but not an issue.

Fantastic 3 day stay for my mother-in-law's 70th birthday. The cottage was perfect and we chose it specially so we could get to Edinburgb and Glasgow during our stay. Would definitely book again. Great value for money.

We had a few wonderful days at Joanne's quier and cosy Bothy. Thank you for your kind welcome , and checking whether everything was alright. Joanne and her mother Mary are very friendly, giving advise on what to do in the vicinity (great beaches and fishing villages). We enjoyed watching a glorious sunset through the back window, looking over the fields and the sea in the distance. Thank you very much and hopefully see you again!

Our stay at The Stables was heaven. Paul welcomed us and showed us around and had even set up the hot tub for us arriving. The house was immaculate with everything you could possibly need and beautifully decorated too. We loved the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom. The garden was beautiful and so peaceful and our two dogs loved it, it was completely secure for them which meant we could relax. The view from the garden and the location were wonderful, it was just what we needed. We didn’t want to leave and would love to come back sometime soon. Thank you for being wonderful hosts and for our cheeseboard and Prosecco it was such a thoughtful touch.

Our stay at Fairygreen Cottage was exactly what we needed. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Our boys had so much fun. Alice was very helpful. We would love to stay here again!

This is a great place to stay for a couple. It’s a cozy little cottage with everything you need. Perfect location to explore the beautiful area around Coniston Water and within easy reach of other places in the Lakes. The place is tucked away peacefully and is lovely to retreat to after a busy day with a sheltered and sunny garden area to relax and read in. It’s an easy walk from the property into Coniston and we explored other walks as well - e.g. to Brantwood House and to the lakeside for swimming. We really enjoyed our stay.

It's a beautiful cabin surrounded by nature and lots of sheeps which are welcoming you every morning! The view from the cabin is amazing. The cabin itself fits perfectly for a family, you have plenty of room. We can recommend the cabin 100% and would like to come back one day! Thanks a lot! :)

Gorgeous cottage, roomy, quiet, clean, relaxing, cosy, comfy beds and sofa, fantastic shower and bathroom. Is peaceful looking out of the glass doors watching the birds, who would want to leave!

We had a lovely time at Lamb Garth. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and had everything you needed. The host was very friendly and helpful. Loved the village, a beautiful location. Perfect, quiet retreat in a beautiful location. The accommodation was very comfortable with well stocked kitchen and powerful shower. We loved wildlife spotting in the garden - deers, birds and bats. Some very good walks, perfect location for the northern fells. Quaint little villages with good local pubs. Emma was extremely helpful answering my questions before our trip and makes the most fantastic brownies- thank you!

Absolutely delighted with our stay in Anne’s beautiful place. It was so peaceful with fabulous outlook across the countryside. The log burning stove was so appreciated on the first day/evening when the weather outside was rainy but we were cosy and comfy inside in this haven. Next day the weather was glorious so we made the most of the sun trap outside. It was a special touch being left wheaten bread, eggs, milk, butter and lots of other condiments etc. Highly recommend Anne’s special place to stay. Evelyn & Ralph

Staying at The Distillery was an absolute dream. Communication with Margaret was outstanding and we felt immediately welcomed. The welcome pack and touches were really appreciated. Location was fantastic and we could travel into the Lakes with ease, within Dumfries and Galloway, and even got the train to Edinburgh for a day out with ease. Evenings were spent relaxing in the hot tub under the stars. You won't be disappointed if you book here!

David provided perfect instructions on how to find the place. He also provided detailed instructions on how everything worked, with many recommendations of places to eat, things to do in the local area and detailed maps of walks in the area.

We love this place. it is perfect for our little family. Lindsay and Steve are fantastic hosts who make you feel instantly welcome. This was our third time here and we were looking forward to seeing them as much as we were the amazing views, the walks, feeding the chickens and watching the sunset over Loch Fyne from the massive lounge window. As our 3 year old daughter said as we left 'I want to stay here forever and ever and ever.'

A really lovely little place to stay. Highly recommended if you're planning a trip to the area. We were only there for a night, but we could see ourselves staying for longer. Nice and warm. Shower was excellent. Lovely host!
