This is a lovely somewhat secluded place away from the city. The view in the morning with the surrounding trees is especially beautiful. The inside of the home is spacious and well maintained. We loved going out into large patio area with coffee early in the morning and watching the sun rise, or having our evening meals in the nice Spring weather. One morning we were able to see a deer roaming around. Combined with the cool atmosphere and nature setting, it gives a sense of peace and calmness. **Note: For those of you who are not morning people, be sure to bring earplugs to bed as there are roosters nearby that wake with the morning sun.

If you are looking for a beautiful gem in a quaint town this is the place for you. Our hosts were so friendly and accommodating. The house is very spacious, and so beautifully decorated that you feel right at home away from home. All the amenities are a huge bonus, the kitchen is well stocked, the bathrooms have all the necessities and more. Our family enjoyed some time in the cowboy pool and it was so amazing, the temperature was nice, it was clean and well taken care of. Such an amazing added touch. This is a must stay the next time we are in Smithville!

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Harris's place! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed with how well-maintained and cozy the home was. The decor was stylish yet comfortable, and it really felt like a home away from home. One of the standout features for me was the fireplace—such a perfect touch! It created such a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to unwind in the evenings after a day of exploring. Whether I was curled up with a good book or just enjoying the crackling fire, it truly added to the charm of the place. Harris was an exceptional host, always quick to respond to messages. The location was ideal—peaceful yet conveniently close to everything I wanted to see and do. I felt completely at ease during my entire stay and would definitely return. This place was amazing! Perfect for my family and dogs to have a peaceful week. The place was exactly as described. Clean and had everything we needed! We enjoyed the pool and walking the trails on the property. Megan was super responsive and friendly! Thanks for an amazing stay!

My husband and I selected the Ella Nora to host our grown children for a long weekend together. This gracious and spacious home allowed is to gather and still have privacy and true comfort. This home is updated and spotless. All bathrooms are equally beautiful and well appointed. The decor and furnishings are to-notch. You will enjoy the unique artwork throughout. There were games for entertainment, plus the pool and spa! A few steps from main street for shops, restaurants and points of interest. I highly recommend this listing and wish to return myself to enjoy this special 1910 home with all of today’s creature comforts and aesthetics 💕

From the time we first saw Gary’s place on the website we were super interested in it. It was well decorated and very clean and well kept. Once we booked we had a few questions and Gary was very responsive to us before and during our stay. He was super accommodating. They have made sure you have everything you need to be comfortable at the house as if you were staying at a friend’s. They have everything labeled and have provided lots of extras like coffee and waters, and toiletries and the icing on the cake was the cupcakes from the local bakery- a very sweet touch. The pantry was fully stocked with essentials and the bedrooms even had extra plug ins for your technology. They provided a dog basket with things you need for the your dog. The house is very updated and comfortable. The outdoor area is also very nice. Great place to have a glass of wine and sit in the rocking chairs with cafe lights. We loved staying at the farmhouse and would defiantly book it again.
