Farm Stay - Working livestock farm

Come stay in our apartment connected to the barn on our active working farm. We are located 3 miles from the state capitol building in Montpelier, but you would never know it up here. You can cross country ski, snowshoe, hike, or bike out your front door, and we are located within 45 min. from Sugarbush, Stowe, Mad River Glen, & Bolton Valley. You can also check out the local beer & spirits scene, or just relax at the farm. Guests are always welcome to tour the grounds and see the animals.

We're just minutes to downtown yet the private driveway that opens to 10 acres feels like you're a world away. The apartment has a private locking entrance through a shared garage, well stocked kitchen, cozy sitting area with a view of the mountains, full bathroom, memory foam mattress and blackout shades. We are family friendly with a highchair, pack n' play + changing table upon request!

Not for everyone, (no running water, spotty cell service) but if you want quiet, beauty and solitude, this place is for you. A writer-hiker's dream. If it's chilly, the cabin's heated. There's also an ice pack (provided) fridge, propane stove, solar electricity for lights, composting toilet (no smell. Really), pots, cooking utensils, dishware etc We allow one dog (only ONE, please!) for a fee $25 per stay.

Lay in bed and look out the huge picture window at the farm. You might see cats climbing trees, hummingbirds, snowflakes falling, lightning storms and many more beautiful moments. We have a Wolf, don't be alarmed she is as friendly as can be and will greet you and escort you to the cabin. If you like nature, animals, walking in the forest, cuddling up by the wood stove, then this is the place for you. The cabin is surrounded by gorgeous perennial gardens. This rustic but finished cabin features a full kitchen and all amenities you might need for a peaceful getaway. The wide deck overlooking Curtis Pond is the perfect place to have breakfast or listen to the evening loons calling. Swim in the summer, snowshoe or ski in the winter.
