Ms Helen's Down Under - Private, Luxurious & Fun

Private Luxurious Ms Helen's Down Under, once home to band practice and poker games now tastefully updated with modern decor and comfortable surroundings. This is the updated basement with its own separate entrance, bath, kitchen and Laundry room in my home. There is almost 700 sq feet to use or if you need a private getaway or crash pad. Loft style, their is no door on the bedroom. We do not block days at all in if it shows not available it isn't. We do not allow pets as host is allergic.

The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. For the best sleep, open the bedroom window!

Yurt dwelling is indescribably peaceful. Our property is 150 acres, off an end-state maintenance road, though just a 20 minute drive off interstate 81 or to the quaint town of Floyd, or the VT area. This 24' yurt is beautifully modern with a fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom/ shower, TV and (high speed) wi-fi, and comfortable sleeping and hangout spaces- surrounded by acres of streams, trails and natural beauty. This place has original hardwood floors, exposed 11-foot ceilings, and large windows spanning across the entire length of the apartment offering picturesque views of the city skyline against a background of Appalachian Mountains. This space offers two king size beds, game room, and a fully equipped kitchen to accommodate any length of stay.

The Coca Cola House

This quaint little home-away-from-home has room for the whole family and is close to everything! The Coca Cola house is a favorite for “passers through” due to being 5 minutes from the interstate. Yet our extended stay discounts make it perfect for those planning longer stays as well! Minutes away from numerous restaurants, shopping centers, and a large mall! Close to the Roanoke River Greenway, Blue Ridge Parkway, Vinton Library, Explore Park, tons of hiking, and much more!

Falling Pines Historic Cabin

The original log cabin was built in 1936 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). These cabins were built after the Blue Ridge Parkway was laid in 1935, which is just down the street. With love and attention our cabin's renovations were complete in 2017. We kept the original log walls to add a rustic feel to the contemporary, crisp clean decor. The cottage overlooks the babbling waters of Back Creek but is just a 5 minute drive to the grocery store, private yet convenient.
