Private Cabin Retreat in Lost City, WV

With its quaint rustic charm, the Lost Pines Cabin is nestled in West Virginia's beautiful Lost River Valley, adjacent to the George Washington National Forest, about 2 hours outside of the Washington DC Metro Area. The cabin is ideal for small families, couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and furry friends. Step off the grid and enjoy some rest and relaxation at the Lost Pines Cabin. Of course, there is fiber internet throughout the property & a land line available for emergencies.

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). I do have a 50.00 pet fee per dog up to 2 dogs only. It is located just above the entrance to the Smoke Hole Canyon with great fishing, beautiful scenery along the paved country curvy road. You can drive through the canyon and come out on Rt 28 just below the Smoke Hole caverns and gift shop. Then continue to Seneca Rocks and hike the rocks or drive to Nelson Rocks for zip lining.

The home is an adorable cottage perfect for both a romantic getaway or a family/friends retreat. Enjoy views of the small orchard on the 3 acre wooded property from the large deck and two firepits. The Orchard Cottage is a great base to explore local wineries, hiking, and nearby Bryce Resort. Conveniently located 2 hrs from DC, 45 minutes from Harrisonburg, and only 12 minutes from Bayse/Bryce Ski Resort. Only a 15 min drive to I-81 to conveniently access all the Shenandoah Valley has to offer

Welcome to our lovely cabin on the top of the mountain! With sweeping, 270-degree views in three seasons and layers of mountains visible and lush greenery in summer, here you have space to truly disconnect, center yourself in nature, listen to the sounds of crickets, birds, and tree frogs, and enjoy dark sky star views. Enjoy the cooler weather at this altitude, the breeze through the trees, and the spectacular view from the spacious back porch and cozy lighted screened porch on our 5 acre lot.

Covered deck overlooks the picturesque mill, providing relaxing sounds from the creek and waterwheel. The "ghost village" of Moore's Store is now surrounded by orchards and farms. Private yet convenient to wineries, breweries, ski resorts, hiking, caverns and rope adventures.

Enjoy the comforts and luxuries of home while enjoying the fresh air and forests of a trip to the mountains. You'll also have easy access to our small-town amenities while being a short drive from some of West Virginia's favorite destinations like Spruce Knob and Seneca Rocks. You can also stay in and enjoy the mountain view without ever leaving the back porch.

It's as close as you can get to Dolly Sods without camping! 4WD needed in the winter.

Creekside is a 312 square foot (plus loft) secluded Tiny Cabin. It is nestled in the woods, with mountain views and absolutely stunning night skies. A picturesque year-round mountain stream is less than 50 feet from the cabin porch. The modern cabin was designed to be comfortable and appealing. Every "tiny" detail was considered. Although the cabin may have limited square footage, it feels roomy and uncrowded.
