What a wonderful place! The interior decor was a nice mix of modern yet cozy. The living room is very comfortable (nice TV and several soft blankets to use) and there's a full dining table. The bedrooms had a lot of storage space and the bed was very comfortable. Both bathrooms had lots of storage space and a nice shower. The view from the kitchen and front porch was amazing, and the kitchen had everything you could want with very nice appliances. While there is some traffic on the road in front of the house, it really didn't detract from the beautiful view. You can walk across the street and down some stairs and be on the beach. It was a short drive into town for restaurants, groceries (Safeway) and the parks visitor center. We enjoyed meals at Fisherman's Restaurant, SeaQuake Brewing, and takeout pizza from SeaFront Baking Company (which is also a bakery). All communication with Janice was friendly, helpful and prompt. We would definitely recommend the Ugly Marlin!

We had a wonderful stay! Home is exactly as advertised, exceptionally well stocked, clean and roomy. Great location for peaceful visit to northern Cali beaches, touring redwoods, etc. Sandy had super recommendations for kids and adults alike, and was very responsive to our questions. Would definitely stay again next time we’re in the area!

It was a lovely getaway secluded in the forest with perfect location to explore the redwood forest and Oregon coast. Absolutely a Slice of heaven.

We were looking for a location near the beach, within walking distance and this spot was perfect. Our side window looked directly over the ocean. Heaven! I loved all the little things Susan did to make us feel at home. At check in we had bananas, granola bars, microwave popcorn and coffee available. Inside our unit she had pancake mix, syrup, coffee and tea available. We felt like we stepped back in time with what appeared to be a former motel turned into individual rental units fully equipped with a kitchenette and back porch. Susan’s detail to lovely decor similar to my mom’s 70’s home was endearing. If you’re not looking for glammer and glitz but a comfortable, affordable beach front stay, this is a perfect spot.

Sea Escape is an amazing experience at an incredible price! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds are high quality, the shower is clean and very efficient, and the owners are friendly and helpful. The best part of all is the easy and quick access to a wonderful beach that is pristine and where you feel like you have the whole beach to yourself. We absolutely love the Sea Escape. we have returned many times, and have never been disappointed. This time we rented all 6 rooms to host family members to stay at for a destination wedding in the Redwoods. We had group meals at the picnic tables, with food cooked on the grills and in the rooms. We had all the cooking equipment, plates and silverware necessary for these meals. Susan was gracious, and checked to make sure we had everything we needed. We will be back, as will our family members. This little gem is not fancy, but it is always clean, quiet, and welcoming. you can't beat the view, the beach access, and the proximity to the big trees.

This is my third stay at Nicole's since the first of the year. It's been a perfect location for my work assignment, and the quiet solitude is a wonderful escape at the end of a workday. And this trip I discovered the vibrating HEATED recliner. Be still my heart. I didn't know such a thing existed! ❤️ I hope to be able to make Nicole's my "go to" from now on whenever I'm in Crescent City.
