We loved this place! Its peaceful with good local walks, a pub just down the road. Tea and coffee and a loaf of bread were provided which was very welome. We'd brought our 2 dogs along, and Soraya had thoughfully left some dog treats out too. Just outside there was a hot tub, which was a real bonus, and a great way to relax after a day out walking.

fantastic stay with our 2 teenagers, 2 kids and 2 dogs. everyone loved it! Check the add on costs before you book as I didn't read the extra hot tub fee until I was told on the day, worth it though, the hot tub is huge!

If you're considering this, just book it! Great place, warm and clean with everything you could need. We felt very welcome, beautiful farm with animals and an orchard. Setting is great, 25 mins to Sheffield but 30 seconds to incredible countryside. If you want a relaxed place to explore the peaks, this ticks all the boxes. Already thinking about returning.

A lovely cottage with beautiful views. Just as described and the pictures did it justice. The hot tub was lovely and the space is private. Our children loved the wildlife, like the rabbits on the garden, the friendly cat and the sheep across the river. Phil was very responsive and is a great host.

We had a fab 2 night stay at Scarlett’s place! The cottage itself was lovely and cosy , had everything we needed and was clean! The bed was extremely comfortable! The hot tub was great it was really nice to enjoy our anniversary weekend away! We were able to order a take away through just eat on our first night and then ate food at the travellers rest on the Sunday and Arthur’s for breakfast today! Scarlett was a great host and even messaged early to say we could check in! Will definitely return 😊

We loved our mini break at Lorraine's place. The cottage is beautifully decorated throughout and very homely, the garden feels very private, even with houses all around. Addingham is a lovely village with great pubs serving delicious food, it is also perfectly located for exploring West/North Yorkshire. Highly recommend staying here.

An incredible place, i’d happily live here! Couldn’t recommend it more; clean, quiet yet modern. The space is perfect and beds are comfy. The hot tub is big and warm and it’s a beautiful location. The hosts have clear instructions and made the process smooth. Beyond happy with my stay here :)

A fantastic property with a high quality and luxurious finish. Peaceful, with the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, despite being extremely close to shops and bars. Stayed with my three kids. Enjoyed the hot-tub and garden. The place was spotlessly clean and all of the appliances worked perfectly. A great sleep in very comfy beds, next to the sound of nature. We have just spent a couple of wonderful days walking up penyghent. Moira's cottage was wonderful. Really clean and cosy and stocked with everything we needed. The walk up to pen-y-ghent starts literally right outside the doorstep which is very handy and a comfortable bed is exactly what we needed after the long walk. Thank you Mouira for your hospitality.

My husband and I stayed at Tethera for the long Easter weekend and we loved the cottage. It had everything we needed. Emma really has thought of everything and more. From a binder full of helpful information, well stocked kitchen with some welcome goodies, cozy living room, perfectly fluffy linen to towels for our dog, Yoda. The shower has great water pressure too! We live in London and really liked how peaceful and private it was. Yoda loved all the new scents and the animals around too! We locked ourselves out one day and Emma responded within minutes. We loved the fresh eggs her hens lay and got some back home as well. I would recommend the place to everyone. It’s spotless, extremely comfortable and perfectly placed for all the nice hikes and pretty towns of Lake District to be easily accessible. Perfect cottage with an equally perfect host.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Allie’s cosy cottage in such a beautiful spot in the peaks! The property was exactly as described - clean, comfortable, and full of charm, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The view from the kitchen was stunning... and a real bonus was getting to say hi to the lambs on the farm, which made the experience even more special. It is the perfect base for some beautiful hikes in the Peak District, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a countryside escape. Thank you, Allie! - Jeremy and Amelia

A perfect family cottage and photos don't do it justice, it was really really nice!! Perfect location with fantastic views it doesn't feel like you're 15 minutes away from the madness of Blackpool. We'll return in the future 100%.

We had a lovely 4 nights stay at the cottage with our two dogs. The cottage was clean and we had everything we would need for our stay, including wood for the log burner. The enclosed garden was a nice place to sit and enjoy wonderful views and to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. Castleton is only a 15min walk along a footpath from the rear of the cottage and there are plenty of places to eat and drink in the village. We will definitely be back soon. Highly recommended 👌

An amazing property, best I’ve booked on Airbnb. Beautifully presented, extremely clean and very well stocked. You can tell the love and care that has gone into creating this rental and Julie clearly has very good taste. Everything you could possibly need - Julie has included it and she’s gone the extra mile with lovely extra touches. The cottage is well located right in the heart of Tideswell with walks and restaurants on your doorstep. If you have a dog, the boot room outside is fantastic with its warm shower and Julie even supplies dog towels and shampoo. I cannot recommend this property enough and we’ll most certainly be back!

A wonderful cottage in a fabulous location. Fizz, fresh bread and homemade jam to greet us. Lovely warm and surprisingly large cottage with a gorgeous view of the ford. Great walks straight from the door with wildlife aplenty (sadly no red squirrels but our host did point us to a hotel where we managed to see them). All in all, a cracking place to stay.

Really wonderful stay at Helen’s cottage with friends. The cottage is bright and warm and the view is beautiful. Helen responded super quickly to messages and gave very detailed instructions on getting to the cottage and places to park. The beds were really comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. Catherine is an excellent host, great communication and keen that everything is ok, quick response to queries raised. lovely welcome touch, of milk, cereal, bread, pastries, fruit juice jam, butter and apples and a supply of tea and coffee. Lovely compact cottage with a good kitchen, with a dishwasher and microwave. peaceful and quiet, away from everything but only a short drive in to Kendal

We had the most enjoyable experience staying at Sara’s beautiful & cosy cottage. It was in the perfect location with easy walking distance into Town and only a short drive to Windermere & Ambleside. Peaceful cottage in a central location. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided by the host and Sara was available to answer our questions promptly. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay and for the biscuits and mint chocs too. My daughter loved it too x

We love staying at April’s cottage, its truly a home from home. Location is perfect for a visit to the lakes with everything on your doorstep from great walks to cafes, restaurants, pubs and supermarkets. To top it off you have a fantastic sunny terrace to relax in after a day of exploring! Thanks again
