Cemaes is close to the historical town of Machynlleth and Snowdonia National Park. Beautiful views await you along with lots of things to do and see. Whether walking, biking or just enjoying a lunch in a pretty town or visiting tourist interests there is plenty to do here. The Dyfi Valley is a designated UNESCO Biosphere.

Set within a quiet courtyard Ty Llwyd is part of the former Bala workhouse, dating from around 1836, a renovated 3 storey Victorian terrace. Set among the beautiful Snowdonia National Park you can find an abundance of truly stunning landscapes to explore from the doorstep. Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) is a short walk from the house with canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing available, numerous walking and cycling trails and all local amenities, pubs, shops, and cafes within 200yds.

Next to Capel Shiloh Methodist church this 150 year old building has been the residence of many famous preachers — the most iconic being E Tegla Davies an author of many welsh books. Expect a home grown welsh family welcome.
