Go for a walk or bike ride on the 28 plus acres or pretty rural lanes. 2.5 miles away is Lake Robertson for activities . Sit on the porch too! On a snowy night, enjoy the wd-burning fireplace . (We will often leave fireplace prepared to light. Gas heating also). Get cozy with the full kitchen, washer/dryer, games and books. DirecTv in the living room and bedroom. too!

Enjoy the ambiance of the small electric fireplace, well-equipped kitchenette and dining area, or the front porch swing. The bathroom features an old-fashioned claw foot tub, fitted with a shower head. Enjoy a complimentary bottle of sparkling cider and a basket of snacks with your stay. Enjoy the breathtaking beauty at this peaceful apartment. Close to historic Lexington Va (15 minutes), the Virginia horse center (20 minutes), Natural Bridge State Park (5 minutes), and not too far from Roanoke. Easily found 10 minutes off I 81 and close to Hwy 11. We welcome pets! Please note your pet in reservation. (Insurance will not allow us to host certain breeds such as German Shepherds, Rottweilers, and Pitt Bulls.) **Please be sure to read the house manual and check in instructions.

The “Beach House” is a guest cottage at Snug Harbor, a 2 acre private property overlooking the Rappahannock River and Chesapeake Bay. Perfect for a couple’s getaway, this well-appointed cottage has beautiful water views and includes access to our private beach & dock (with guest slip) with use of our paddle boards and kayaks. The cottage’s 1st floor features an open liv/din/kit area, full bath with large shower and a covered patio. The 2nd floor features a large loft bedroom with a queen bed.
