As you turn onto Thatcher Mill you'll feel the comfort of this mountain retreat. Your tranquil drives ends at this 12 year old home that we call our cabin. It's well built and sits off the road a bit and invites you to relax and enjoy what the Lake McCumber /Mt Lassen community has to offer. The sounds of silence radiates through the trees and gives that sense of calm we all wish for in our daily lives. Once inside you find it a comfortable stay. Backyard is awesome! Stay another day!

Cute cabin for two! Set in the midst of Plumas National Forest, Paxton is very secluded. Walking distance to the beautiful Feather River and our own private sand beach. Hiking, swimming and tubing. Close to Lake Almanor, Bucks Lake, the quaint towns of Quincy and Belden, snowshoeing, fishing and many other outdoor activities. We also have a Little Tree Library with books for all ages, or little games to play. Plus, we include many lawn games right here on the historic Paxton Lodge property.

Lake Almanor is an aquatic paradise with water sports, fishing, beautiful nature trails, amazing mountain views and breathtaking sunsets from your deck or the beach. The home has its own dock and buoy. You have access to a boat launch, 9 hole golf course, beach, recreation center, restaurant and sports courts at Lake Almanor West Country Club which is within walking distance.

Cozy cabin near some of California's most pristine pine forest, waterholes and fishing, and only 9 miles from the Lassen National Park's Southwest Visitor Center. The town of Mineral is a small island of private cabins surrounded by a sea of National Forest and National Park lands. An adventurer's dream. You could walk out the backdoor of the cabin, into the forest, and arrive at the Lassen Visitor Center without crossing a single paved road, or seeing another human. Just bears.
