My family had a great stay at the Secret Garden. Kathleen was communicative from before the trip began and easily accommodated a late check-in. The house was charming with visual interest everywhere. Our kids really loved the fun paintings and decor. The kitchen was suitable for making a few meals and reheating food. The only quirk with the house is that you have to go through one bedroom and the bathroom in order to get to the second bedroom. (Not a problem for us.) The hot tub was a real highlight. It was spacious, clean, and it afforded us the rare opportunity to stare up at the stars through the redwoods while soaking in hot water. What's not to like? The house itself is situated about five minutes outside of Fort Bragg off a country road. The combination of seclusion and proximity to town, beaches, and sand dunes was incredible. We would stay at the Secret Garden again.

We had a beautiful night at this lovely cabin. Hot tub was relaxing and we had a thoughtful and delicious breakfast brought by our adorable host!

This 4 bed downstairs unit was great for our crew of 4 guys on an XC motorcycle trip. The cedar hot tub was an epic bonus.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Renee's cabin in the redwoods. The place was just what we needed and worked out perfectly for hiking during the day and simple dinner with the well stocked kitchen. The back deck was great for coffee in the morning and a quite place to sit after dinner. we highly recommend this spot for a romantic get away just a short drive from sunsets over the Pacific.

Peter’s place is brimming with authenticity. The pictures don’t do it justice — it’s cozy, warm, and full of heart. You can truly feel the love that built this home. The large window looks out onto a beautiful native landscape filled with tanoaks and blooming rhododendrons. We walked his property and even found two types of native orchids! Peter kindly started a fire for us without us even asking and made us feel incredibly welcome. The kitchen had everything you could need, all natural — no Teflon in sight. A huge bonus: no stinky plug-ins or heavily-scented linens. Everything felt fresh and clean. We can’t recommend it enough!

This place was great! Perfect for a nice, quiet, romantic getaway. Super close to downtown Fort Bragg and Mendocino. Great space inside for a small cabin. The balcony was perfect for a night under the stars. Would definitely recommend, and would definitely book again in the future!

Zendo was a dream. Cabin/glamping at its best. Large house and I woke up in the midst of the forest with lushes greenery. Also that bed was so comfortable!!!!! WiFi worked well, the host had the sweetest gift basket for us when we arrived. It truly was a house of Zen. We drank coffee, made smores by the fireplace (they include the wood and all), read, relaxed and admired all the windows 🪟 and the greenery. Amazing this was real life and not a green screen. The hospitality, the host helped us with parking and we arrived late in the rain. Thank you ZENDO for an incredible weekend!

We are so glad we found Heather and her rustic cabins, it’s the only place to stay when visiting Lake Pillsbury. Such a unique location with a fascinating history, a much needed break from the city life. Our cabin had plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 children, was spotless with very comfortable beds! The shared kitchen had everything you could possibly need We spent 4 days relaxing at the private pound, taking bike rides down the winding roads, stargazing, and exploring the trails. Heather checked in with us daily and was able to share the history of her land and the cabins. A beautiful location that everyone needs to visit!

Our stay at Andiron was unbelievably magical! My only wish is that we had discovered this gem sooner. Madeline was such a warm and welcoming host, and the place was not only impeccably maintained but also absolutely adorable. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Madeline!

We had a nice stay and Matt was great during our power outage. Probably best as a summer destination but we liked the rain.

The cabin was so lovely and cozy! The wood stove/fireplace was truly amazing, the cabin was so warm and toasty throughout the night. Laurie, Greg and Skip are all so great and accommodating. The bathrooms were always so clean, with hot water showers. The location is amazing, everything is close by: gorgeous hikes at Hendy Woods State Park, and near some amazing wineries for wine tasting. We absolutely loved our time here!

We were traveling and needed place for the night. we booked late, but Adel responded quickly with instructions. We arrived later than expected. It was dark, but very easy to find. Wonderful location with an amazing view. The heater was strong enough to warm the entire cabin. I was greeted by two friendly dogs in the morning as well as by Adel. Highly recommend. I will likely book again when I am in the area.

This cabin was perfect for my husband and I and our little dog. Elizabeth had everything well set up with clear instructions. We really liked that it was a bit up the hill from Mendocino in the trees with a great big lawn. It was very quiet and peaceful and just 10 mins from Mendocino town. Our only critique is that it's a bit dark inside and starting to get a little run down around the top of the walls. The kitchen works really well with most of the basic stuff you need, but don't come with fancy gourmet cooking plans! But there's enough to cook simple meals and reheat and serve our lentil stew that we brought from home. All in all a great place to stay!

Tenaya's cottage was the perfect getaway for a long weekend. The cabin itself is cozy, warm, has a well stocked kitchen, WIFI, clean bathroom, and is decorated nicely with books, and artwork. The gardens are tranquil and beautiful. The dunes are only a walk down the street and are quite an experience to hike around. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful as well. Tenaya was very welcoming, informative, and made us feel comfortable. Would love to stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway in the Fort Bragg area.

We secretly want no one to know about this. The location is sick! Wild and exquisite! Grounds planted & tended accenting what nature chose. A daydream to paint, write, roam, breathe. Our little red cottage had artistic simple charm - vibe is reclaimed romantic eclectic finesse (clawfoot tub w silver candleholder & candle!). Shower was great. The kitchen has all to cook a storm (we did - w/sunset out the window). The insane view IS yr front yard: chairs face across vast garden property to a heath coated in wildflowers to bluffs high over the ocean w/waving paths…a bench to take in what the sea is doing, birdlife (def ideal for whales) & just feel amazing. A short walk over to the lighthouse - picturesque in the day, a beacon at night. And stars! From the super cozy n comfy bed, we cuuld hear waves hit the cliffs & echo in this exhilarating way. It was so too short and we didn't want to leave, but lucky to have found this place & hope to get back soon as we can! Please don’t tell.

This place is the perfect retreat from busy city life. Roxanne was an amazing host—super helpful and responsive, making sure we felt right at home. Great location. Short walk to beach. Close to Fort Bragg & Mendocino. Rustic, yet very cozy home. Our family of 5 enjoyed our 4 nights there over Labor Day weekend. We even got to enjoy the annual Paul Bunyan festivities in Fort Bragg. Location made it easy to go back & forth from downtown easily when we wanted to take a break or if needed to get something from the house. Would definitely consider returning if staying in FB.
