We had a phenomenal stay! The serene gardens surrounding the property are exceptionally well cared for, providing a peaceful escape from any unwanted noise. You can enjoy the most beautiful sunset views here. I cannot express enough how wonderful Marc is! When we arrived in the evening, he prepared a charcuterie board and offered us wine and blankets, allowing us to comfortably relax outdoors while taking in the scenery. In addition to his delicious and beautifully prepared breakfasts, he stocked our room with fresh local berries, chocolates, and water. He even started the fireplace for us each evening. We have stayed in many places around the world, but Marc is truly the best host we’ve encountered! He treats guests like a considerate, generous, and welcoming friend. While Marc respects guests’ privacy, we found ourselves looking forward to our conversations with him. If you’re looking for tranquility nestled in beautiful surroundings with the most gracious host, this is it!

This place is clean and definitely worth the price. Close to gas station, restaurant, pharmacy and all other services needed. Highly recommend!

Paradise by the Sea – An Unforgettable Stay! This beach house was everything we dreamed of and more. We considered several other lovely properties in the area but chose this one, and we’re thrilled with our decision! Just steps from a peaceful, quiet beach, it offered stunning ocean views that took our breath away every morning and evening. The home itself is beautifully designed with thoughtful touches throughout—every detail has clearly been chosen with care. From the cozy, coastal-inspired decor to the well-equipped kitchen and the inviting and well designed courtyard, everything was perfectly curated to create a relaxing and luxurious retreat. We especially loved the spacious deck, where we enjoyed coffee in the mornings and sunsets in the evenings. It was the ideal setting for unwinding and truly disconnecting. this hostel was sooooo cute! it was very clean, had everything you would need & was in a great spot — walkable to the downtown area/ocean. The area was very peaceful and quiet and we felt very safe. We will definitely be booking this again sometime in the future.

Es war ein Highlight für uns, bei Aubree und Kerry zu übernachten! Von der super herzlichen Begrüßung, zu dem gemütlichen und sauberen Zimmer und Bad, den beiden unfassbar süßen und lieben Hunden, für uns morgens bereitstehenden Kaffee, Tee & Lemon Loaf sowie einem Whirlpool, blieben uns absolut keine Wünsche offen und man fühlte sich direkt wie zu Hause. Trotzdessen, dass wir mit den beiden in einem Haus wohnten, war das Gefühl von Privatsphäre absolut gegeben! (Das war vor der Buchung eine Sorge von uns gewesen, da das das erste mal für uns war, bei jemand anderem im Haus zu übernachten.) In dem riesen Bett schliefen wir von allen Betten im gesamten Urlaub am besten & wir bedauerten, nur eine Nacht zu bleiben. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen!

We stayed at the beautiful Qual Cottage for 3 weeks and we couldn’t be happier with our visit. The apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. The setting was absolutely beautiful. And Kay sets the standard for hosts. We needed a place to stay while construction was going on at home. We found Quail Cottage and it turns out we hit the jackpot. The setting is lovely — the apartment looks out over a canyon where we saw deer, rabbits, hawks and a wide array of birds. The apartment itself is gorgeous — big windows, lots of space, comfortable furniture, fully appointed kitchen, big bathroom with a great shower, a laundry room. The bed was wonderful - we slept so well every single night. There’s a beautiful deck and yard. It is quiet and completely private. And we were only a 15-20 minute drive from Monterey, Pacific Grove and Carmel. Kay made sure we were well taken care of. There were the makings for dinner and breakfast waiting for us when we arrived so we didn’t have

Our daughter got married at Carmel Fields and we had a wonderful time. Besides the beautiful views and amenities, the location was ideal for the many wedding related events held at Bernardus and Carmel Fields. Very large comfortable home that was perfect for friends and family that stayed with us and those who dropped by for a quick visit. Had a little issue with blinds that would not open. The problem was quickly addressed and did not create any inconveniece. Would glady visit this property again!

Now I know heaven is real, because this place is it. My family and friends had a wonderful time here. The kitchen was well stocked with a gorgeous view of the river. We enjoyed dining outside under the trees, listening to the birds, and watching a deer meander across the river. The kids had a blast going up and down the river and building fairy houses for nighttime treasure drops. I would absolutely stay here again and look forward to making it a spring-time rendezvous each year. Thank you so much for an incredible experience!
