It was exactly what my family was looking for. It was relaxing and private. It allowed us to not feel cramped like a hotel stay, but allowed us to cook and enjoy the relaxing day. If you have a small kid, the golf cart is a must!

We had a great stay! The back porch was perfect for hanging out near the firepit, grilling at the barbecue and enjoying the hot tub. The back pier was a great place to spot jellyfish and watch the sunset, and it was close to nice beaches.

We booked our stay for a couple of nights away for our family of 4. Talita and Vinny were very welcoming to their adorable place! The cottage is right on the water on the very clean and lovely lake. We had everything we needed and I loved the way the place was decorated. We really enjoyed the stand up paddle boards and the shaded seating area. Our kiddos (9 and 11) we very happy hanging in the hot tub and tossing bread to the blue gills. Good food options nearby - we really enjoyed George's Surf n' Turf. I recommend this stay and hope to be back in the future!

From the minute we pulled into the driveway, our family was highly impressed with the views from Kristen's home. We ended our 2023 summer with a bang. This beautiful home had everything you could ever need on vacation. We enjoyed the backyard with nightly fires. Our teen daughter rarely left the bunk house. We loved the fact that our own private beach was just a few steps away & the public beach was less than ten minutes away. The kids and adults enjoyed the beach trampoline. Kristen was delightful to deal with. She was a SUPER host. So many little details and extras she puts into her beach home. Already thinking of our next visit.

Tyler’s home was the most magical place to spend my 29th birthday with the girls! The home is ten times more beautiful than the pictures. They don’t do it justice. We lucked out with the most beautiful weather the first weekend of May and had the most fun weekend. The house is so updated and clean and the perfect sized cottage for 3-4 girlfriends. We loved having coffee and watching the sunrise in the morning on the deck!! Couldn’t recommend anymore. Also easy 5 minute walking to restaurants/ bars! Will be back!

We had an absolute blast on our girls getaway weekend!! The cottage and community were amazing, exactly what we were hoping for and Doug couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. He was always available by text or phone. The cottage was clean, nicely equipped, and a great location!! We will definitely be renting this cottage again on our next trip!!! Linlin was a wonderful host and we loved this adorable cottage. It was incredibly clean, while still being warm and welcoming for us (and our pup). It's a little farther from the water than we had anticipated, but it's a relatively short and private walk to a dock with kayaks and beautiful views. Highly recommend!

Great location and the house was exactly as described. Perfect get-a-way. Particularly enjoyed the short walk to the beach for sunrise and sunset strolls!

The house is in a beautiful location, with water views from all rooms on the upper level, two decks, and the back lawn. The house was well-maintained and equipped. We were fortunate with a week of warm, sunny weather and especially enjoyed biking down peaceful coastal roads. Barbara and Jurgen

The cottage is cozy and comfortable, including the beds. It's in a quiet neighborhood yet very accessible to hiking trails, beaches, restaurants, and shops. Fiona was extremely friendly and helpful. She is definitely a Super Host! We would happy have stayed longer if we could have! For those who like to ride your bike: Rt. 127, the main road that goes around Cape Ann, is very narrow and has no shoulder, so I don't recommend planning to bike there.

Cannot say enough good things about the stay and the hosts. The place was beautiful and clean, conveniently located and we loved the short walk to the beach. We spent each day exploring a different city, and we felt perfectly located to be in a comfortable, peaceful area away from everything but not too far from anywhere we wanted to go. Pups loved the yard, lots of room for them to run and play. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Couldn’t have picked a better place for the first vacation with our baby.

We loved our stay at this lake house for I think was our third visit. It is super clean and so relaxing every time we go. One of the best parts is we get to bring our 2 dogs with us. The host, Van, is always very responsive and accommodating. I'm sure we will go back for a fourth visit sometime soon! :)

An excellent home away from home. The cute home had everything we needed after a long drive. Super clean, comfortable bed, all amenities and our dog loved the fenced in yard. The well equipped kitchen allowed us to cut up fruits and veggies for our drive home. Couldn't have asked for a better place. Great parking spot and outdoor security cameras added to peace of mind on our long trip our east. We'll definitely stay here again. Donna the host pays attention to every detail and is super responsive and helpful.

New England Perfection - My husband and I were in town for a wedding. The cottage on the water was adorable/clean and had everything we needed. The view and the seating out by the pond were perfect for coffee, wine and and just taking in the scenery and nature. Loved the extra touches like coffee, cream, bottled water and COOKIES! ;-) Would love to return!

Great host! We welcomed and appreciated. From the initial booking to final check out, we enjoyed great communication and friendly responses. We were in town for a wedding! Because the Airbnb was stocked with everything, Jim saved the day!!! We had an emergency and needed a needle and thread. Jim’s place has that!!!! Sometimes it’s the little things that count BIG! 😀 Thank you for sharing your place with us.

Wonderful place! Was completely accurate to what was shown on the listing, great place for a vacation. Super convenient to get to surrounding big towns, but the area itself was peaceful and quiet. 30 second walk to the water, and a beautiful view! Hosts were responsive and super helpful- even though we didn't stay at their place during "prime Cape Cod season", they were helpful in giving us suggestions on what we could still do during this time of year (many suggestions of which we used)! Will definitely look to stay here again in the future, maybe during the summer next time!

I describe my stay at Hummingbird Cottage as Serendipitous. I was there a little over 2 weeks, and just a few days in, Ashley and I discovered that we surprisingly had a number of friend connections! The cottage's location provided easy access to family in Marshfield and on the Cape as well as friends outside of Boston. The listing doesn't show the kitchen, but I'd describe it as "efficient European apartment ", and Ashley includes so many amenities that you will feel welcomed immediately! Duxbury is a charming community with good restaurants, shops, conservation areas for walking and a beautiful beach. I look forward to a return visit!

We had a great weekend and the place was perfect for what we needed. Great outdoor space on the water where we could sit outside and enjoy the weather. Friendly neighbors and great to cook in with all the supplies we needed! Would love to visit again in warmer weather.
