We had a fun time at Chris’ lake house. It was very clean, quiet, and had all the amenities as described. Hot tub (with its private surround) was enjoyable during the winter temps. Ample kitchen supplies since there aren’t any restaurants around. Make sure to get groceries beforehand!

We loved our stay. It was quiet, a perfect location away from heavy lake traffic. We were able to paddle board and sit on the dock. Overall, we were pleased. It could use some spring cleanup, but we just assumed that will come later, before the busy vacation season begins. Our daughter enjoyed privacy in the Cub House—and she’s a teenager. Had everything you would need for a trip. Kayaks were great for James River, and the location was very private and secluded.

Mary and her place were great, the area is super cute and peaceful. Parking is a little tight for anything other than a car.

This truly was the most fantastic get away. The cabin and property were immaculate. Having full use of the hot tub at this price point was a huge draw. Gas grill, flat top and smoker available for our use and Eddie even fired up the grill and got the barbque tools for us. Great conversation with Eddie and family, they were present to socialize and help as needed but not invasive at all. They thought of everything with this rental, I cannot think of a thing I would change. Relaxing country place with little creek is a perfect place to unwind.

Stayed here for a 30th birthday girls' trip- the location was a quick drive away from hiking and vineyards, and around the corner from a convenient store and cute little creamery! We loved the decor, hot tub, and ample sleeping arrangements. The hosts were communicative and flexible when we asked to extend our stay. Would recommend!

We had such a great stay! Our family really enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub after our days of hiking. We appreciated the great small touches including the s'more ingredients, the delicious brownies, and seperate towels for the hot tub. The backyard is so peaceful. The house was very spacious and clean for a family of 4 that included 2 college aged kids. I highly recommend this place. Thank you so much!

Our family had the best stay at Amy’s place! It was clean, well stocked and the beds were super comfortable! The fire pit out back was so nice to relax after a day of exploring and wine tasting. We would definitely stay here again!

We had such a wonderful stay! The cottage had a peaceful, garden-like charm that made it feel like a true retreat. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful—everything we could possibly need was provided, and the attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. It was cozy, comfortable, and felt instantly welcoming. One of our favorite features was the wood stove. It added so much warmth (literally and emotionally!) and made the evenings feel extra special. We’d absolutely stay again and highly recommend this space to anyone looking for a calm and cozy getaway.

Clean & comfortable cabin, great for a weekday away! Great location to some local spots & breweries. Loved the backyard bonus space to enjoy a relaxing night sitting outback with our pup!

Perfect family setting! beautiful home! Amazing amenities and a porch meant for sitting! The yard is nicely cleaned and fenced in so little ones and Dogs are safe while enjoying the great outdoors! There's even a Poo Station! The home is well appointed with all of the things that you need for your stay! Nice big couch, recliner, bar stools for the extremely nice kitchen, and a butcher block table to die for! The appliances are up to date, plenty of refrigerator space, and a full range with oven and over the top microwave with a true pass through exhaust fan! The mattresses are medium to firm, and comfortable as they get! Parking is abundant and super convenient to the side deck for loading and unloading! The place is a Hidden Treasure in Southern West Virginia!!!!

Charles's cottage was just as described and depicted in the profile. It is surrounded by beautiful farmland and close to lots of local attractions, including vineyards and breweries. Very peaceful and quiet.

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was such a peaceful and quiet stay. The view of Humpback was splendid and I love that the bedroom has such a picturesque view. One of the unmentioned features of this spot is the stargazing! You’ve got a nice little porch to sit on and can really see a lot late on a clear night. The house was very clean and tidy and had everything you need for an easy stay. We loved being close to all the breweries and just a short drive to some great hiking spots. We will definitely stay again!

The cottage was clean and cozy. It is easy to get to and quiet. We enjoyed our stay convenient to nearby amenities. Hosts were responsive and helpful and the house had everything we needed!

The Golden Cottage was just like the listing. Clean, relaxing and unique. Catherine was a great host and easy to reach. This was our 2nd stay and we look forward to going again in the future.

Will be back before the summer ends! We took numerous trips last year trying to find the ideal cabin getaway and this is it! Perfect weekend getaway for those who love outdoors and to unwind on a river. My girls caught their first fish and they love the shallow dock for easy access in the river

Another peaceful stay at the farm - beautiful animals, lovely sunset, quiet and calm area. The kids loved the friendly dogs and just looking at the horses is joyful. Tricia and Logan and everyone we saw was friendly and kind. In reading some other tennis, let me just remind you - this is a barn apartment on a working farm. Yes some things are rustic but everything works and it's a fantastic connection to nature and animals here. We will be back!

We stayed at Austen and Katie's for only one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. The cottage is beautifully decorated, super clean, and very inviting. Mattresses were comfortable - we all slept very soundly. When we got in after dinner, the cottage was a little chilly so I messaged Austen. He offered to change the settings through his app and then we were good through the night. Austen also offered to let us come back to the cottage after our day at UVA if we wanted to rest before getting on the road. We didn't take him up on this, but really appreciated the offer. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in the area! Oh, an FYI....it is about a 15-20 minute ride into downtown Charlottesville.

It was a lovely return to Lexington for W&L reunion weekend & it was nice to have this fantastic spot as a home away from home!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hope Hideaway. The surroundings are beautiful. Loved to drive in love the rocking chairs, beautiful view. The house was exceptionally clean and well stocked. Can’t wait to return.
