Picturesque village
Take a visit to Gelerts’ Grave and learn about the famous story which gives this picturesque village its name. There are a number of café’s, pubs and restaurants along with a handful of individual gift shops.
Why not walk or cycle from Rhyd Ddu to Beddgelert along the Lon Gwyrfai trail. The walk is approximately 7.5km (one way) and is well signposted from start to finish. The walk passes through woodland and also offers a few decent viewpoints that are well worth a photo!

Snowdon's Sherpa Shuttle Bus
The Snowdon Sherpa shuttle bus service travels around the foot of Snowdon providing a convenient link between the six main routes up the mountain, the area’s main car parks and other villages, towns and attractions in the local area.
The bus that runs through the village of Rhyd Ddu is the S3 (Beddgelert – Dinorwig). Please check the Gwynedd Council Website for an up to date timetable. The bus stops are located outside the Cwellyn Arms Pub and next to the train station.
