Casa Mourisca is located in heart of the ancient town of Silves. It is a typical Portuguese townhouse, which hides, behind its beatifull blue front door, a well decorated and comfortable space, an amazing backyard with a plunge pool, sun deck terraces, outdoor kitchen, pergola with a wood table to enjoy outdoor meals. The house inspiration, in terms of décor and architectural features, as a tribute to the mourish roots of silves, were the Morocco riads, with their particular vegetation, pools, patios and different corners and details. You will be suprised!

Some of the Algarve’s most beautiful beaches, such as Praia da Marinha, and the famous Benagil caves are only a 15-20 minutes’ drive away.

In 2015 the house was completely renovated with an extension built using straw bales that keeps the house cool in the summer an warm in the winter. Welcome to our townhouse in sunny Silves! Relax on your terrace or in the peace of a quiet garden with old stone walls and fruit trees. Explore a charming historic town on your doorstep or have a walk in the nearby hills. The coastline with beautiful beaches, cliffs and villages is only a short 15 kilometer drive to the South. (If this house is unavailable you may want to look at my other house which shares the same garden "sun-in-the-city")

Set high on the hill in the historic town of Silves, just down the road from the Gothic Cathedral & Castle, is The Townhouse, a peaceful sanctuary from which to explore the town and surrounding area. The house looks out over the terracotta rooftops of the town that clings to the hillside, its cobbled streets tumbling down to the river valley. Street Parking is available close tot he house. This unique place has a style all its own.

Terraquina is set in peaceful rolling hills 10 minutes from historic Silves. This lovingly restored contemporary open plan spacious house with terraces and a pool, modern kitchen and high beamed ceilings. A special place to relax with stunning views across the valley and the hills. The house comes with free WiFi and aircondition in the living area and all the bedrooms, which serve for both cooling and heating the house.

Just a couple of minutes walk down cobbled winding streets from the castle, cathedral, and all the bars and restaurants that make Silves such an attractive and vibrant town. Silves is a great place to experience the true Algarve.
