The Studio at Dark Run Retreat

Quiet studio on a secluded 5 acres only 3 miles from town. Kick back and relax by the pool in the warmer months, or in the hot tub in the cooler months. Small trails lead to the creek running along the property, maybe you'll even catch a glimpse of the deer or turkey that wander thru...we've even seen a lil bear once! There is an apartment above the studio, so we ask that you be mindful of those guests if occupied. *The studio got a make-over! As of 10/6/20, we will no longer be hosting pets*

Little House on Strother Run

Nestled between Mount Tom and Double Top Mountain and at the edge of the Shenandoah National Forest, Little House is the perfect starting out and ending point for a peaceful and relaxing stay in the Appalachian Mountains. Little House is located at the edge of our 7 acre property. You'll enjoy the bucolic atmosphere of our farmette which includes use of our shared sitting area on Strother Run. The sitting area is shared with the main house which is rented or used by our family periodically.

Creekside Cottage is the perfect getaway home to escape to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. This newly renovated luxury cottage is only minutes from hiking trails and just a short drive from the Old Rag trailhead. Nestled in Syria, Virginia, this comfortable space features updated amenities such as a rain shower, a well appointed kitchen, plenty of lounge spaces, board games for days, and a central wood burning stove. Just a few steps out the back door you'll find your own private creek.

Spacious, fully furnished 1,200 sq, ft. cabin w/ wrap-around porch on private 9 acres of woodland located on Robinson River near White Oak Canyon & Falls and Graves Mt. Lodge. Nearby access to Old Rag Mt. hiking trails and DuCard winery. DuCard is currently offering our guests a complimentary "wine tasting" for each booking. Once you park your car you can sit back and just listen to the river flowing in the back yard & enjoy a nice beverage next to the fire pit. The property is a very special place! Time for a quiet retreat to the country. Fall is here! Good time to hit the hiking trails. Here's a totally modern cottage for up to four people for whom camping and even our Hayloft Cottage may seem a bit too rustic. The back door opens up to a porch and a spacious 1.5 acres of fenced-in area (shared with Hayloft dog owners and our mutts), perfect for your four-footed friends (dogs only; limit 2).
