This private, spacious, fully equipped apartment above an owner-occupied home is perfect for one or two adults, and has its own entrance. It occupies the entire second floor of my home, which was built in 1912, and combines the charming “Cape Cod” style architecture of that era with modern conveniences. Lots of windows, closet space, built-in drawers and storage make for an enjoyable stay for a night or a month! Location Minutes from Providence in a quiet residential neighborhood on East Narragansett Bay. A short block from the East Bay Bike Path, extending 14.5 mi from Providence to Bristol. Jog, walk, bike or blade, and enjoy views of coastal wetlands and nature preserves. Haines Memorial State Park is just a block away for a picnic, catching the sunset on the water, or launching your kayak or other watercraft from the boat ramp. I even have a couple of bikes you can use during your stay! The historic Crescent Park Carousel and seasonal Clam Shack is less than a mile away. The Space Private entrance to 3 large rooms plus full bath with tub/shower. In the cozy bedroom, enjoy a restful night’s sleep on a new pillowtop mattress topping the queen size bed. The eat-in kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, glassware, utensils, and pans. Appliances include a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster oven, hotplate, Keurig coffeemaker, toaster and blender. The large living room provides plenty of comfortable seating, a flat screen-tv, a desk for your laptop, and a reading nook. The new futon couch converts into a bed to accommodate two single people traveling together who prefer not to share a room. Other info Please be advised that, as is typical of a house of this age and design, the apartment is accessed via a somewhat steep and narrow staircase, and therefore might not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

The apartment is a five minute walk to charming downtown Jamestown and a two minute drive to local beaches and state parks, an ideal location for a lovely getaway. The drive to Newport is a rather scenic 10 minute drive over the bridge. You may be tempted to stay in, as the open floor plan and thoughtful decorating make for a pleasant accommodation. The apartment includes two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchenette with a stove top (no oven), microwave, and mini-fridge.
