This place is amazing! If you are looking for an affordable house ON THE BEACH with LOTS of beds then this is your place! It’s not state of the art or completely upgraded, but it is so cozy. We were there with 5 small children and 6 adults and we were never in each others way. The beach itself is beautiful and the outdoor shower is a perfect addition to this beach get away. There are lots of amenities provided so don’t stress! Towels, shampoo, conditioner, trash bags, toilet paper, beach chairs, beach loungers, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, hand soap, outdoor shower, hose, grill with gas hook up, bedding, blender, coffee maker, 2 microwaves, 2 ovens…so much! Bring some WD 40 for the tar you might get on your feet and make sure you put the trash cans out ON SUNDAY NIGHT! The trash man comes EARLY Monday morning. The recycle only gets picked up every other Monday so don’t stress if it doesn’t get emptied…the schedule is on the fridge. Also, the knives are TERRIBLE! If you like to cook you might want to bring a few of your own. I hesitate to leave a good review because we plan to return and I don’t want it to be unavailable but it is awesome!!! Communicate early with TREE if you have questions. They will get back to you but not right away. We would just call the number and send a message on the app and they would eventually get back to us. Enjoy your stay! Check all of the drawers before you leave. There are tons of dressers and it’s easy to leave things behind.

Was a great place and Donovan and Gretchen were great. They were quick to communicate and super friendly. I would stay here again and recommend this place to others.

visiting a friend in Oxnard. We were lucky enough to find Kristi's Beach Bungalow. what a cute and well decorated cottage! The outside living areas truly complimented to cozy comfy interior. Even Better it is only .9 miles from the Rudder room, as me how I know. 🙂

Friendly host and a great location. Lots of space in the house for us to have privacy and a YouTube TV login. We enjoyed our stay.

I had the most amazing time staying at Jenny's beach cottage for a long weekend in April. I traveled solo to Ventura and fell in love with the Merry Mermaid and the community. The property is a very short walk to the beach, on a quiet street with friendly neighbors. I loved opening the windows and half door in the cottage to let in the ocean breeze while I worked and cooked. The kitchen was well stocked, and it was just a quick ~5-10 minute drive to Ventura's main street with shops, restaurants, and breweries. Jenny had lots of fantastic local recommendations, which I really appreciated as a first-time visitor to the area. I watched sunsets on the beach with supplies from Surf Liquor (right down the road, super friendly staff) and strolled through the neighborhood to the market, grocery store, and state park; I really enjoyed all of the beautiful yards and gardens along the way. I would absolutely stay at Jenny's place again and recommend it to all of my family and friends!

The perfect location on an incredible property! Highly recommend this location if you want to check out Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, and Solvang within minutes.

Such a great place! Michael was super helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. Rubicon Theatre will definitely be working with him again to house our Artists!

The house was very clean and had very nice outdoor seating and garden area. Kitchen had everything we needed. Great location, near beaches and downtown. Worked perfect for our week in Santa Barbara

Highly recommend Debbie’s place. It’s in a very walkable location in Montecito and is very well equipped. The unit is comfortable, beautifully decorated and very quiet. We’d definitely stay there again. In fact, we already booked our next stay!

great little spot close to so many things, restaurants local shopping, Farmers markets, grocery stores, gas stations you name it. it's there. the place had all the things we needed for the time we were there.

We really enjoyed our stay at Way Better Stay! John and Deena were great to deal with and very responsive with answers to any questions. The property is very clean, nicely decorated and has two great outdoor spaces to enjoy. The house is very well stocked and included many items that are not typically supplied in Airbnbs (ie., coffee, olive oil, toilet paper, trash bags, extra toothbrushes, laundry detergent, saran wrap, etc. ). The location was great - about three blocks from the beach, walkable to the harbor, 15 minutes from Ventura and about 45 minutes from Santa Barbara. There's a grocery store and a couple restaurants about a mile away. We loved everything about Way Better Stay and will definitely return when we visit Channel Islands.

We loved Javier's place. This renovated cottage was very spacious, with lots of rooms and beds and a large living room containing a beautiful stone fireplace. It was very clean and modern. The kitchen was amazing with everything you'd need. The location is wonderful, quiet and wooded. The driveway is narrow with a right angle entry, so a large vehicle may have trouble, but the average car or SUV should manage well if you're careful. Highly recommended.

Great spot in Ventura, we used it as our home base for a day trip to the Channel Islands. Peaceful and cute, walkable neighborhood.
